Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans are anxiously awaiting word on Ryan Jensen's knee injury. The lynchpin center went down on Thursday in obvious pain and was carted off of the field, though it was unclear if it was just a stinger or something more serious.

The latest update on Jensen brought some terrible news.

Ryan Jensen Injury Update

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Friday morning Jensen's injury is feared to be "season-ending." While it sounds like final confirmation is needed, Tampa Bay will likely need to find a new starting center for the 2022 campaign.

This is a huge blow to an offensive line that already lost key members like Alex Cappa (free agency) and Ali Marpet (retirement) this offseason. Jensen has started every game since joining the Bucs in 2018, providing a dependable presence up front.

Jensen was coming off of his first-ever Pro Bowl selection in 2021 after allowing just 2 sacks and recording 5 penalties across 1,151 snaps played.

The Bucs could elevate backup Robert Hainsey to a starting role in the wake of Jensen's injury, or pursue free agents like J.C. Tretter in order to solidify their O-line before Week 1.
