The Milwaukee Brewers' impressive 2021 season ended with a dud in the NLDS and an early exit. Still, president of baseball operations David Stearns showcased his ability to build a contender, which has the New York Mets reportedly very interested in poaching him.

At his end-of-the-year press conference, Stearns seemed to address the current rumors surrounding him.

Stearns didn't directly name New York, but he definitely addressed the current rumblings with his statement of loyalty. The 36-year-old made it clear he and his family are happy in Milwaukee.

That should calm any fears about the talented executive considering what other opportunities are out there. It's not the first time the Mets have tried to lure Stearns, but he's remained committed to the Brewers despite outside interest.

Milwaukee has made the playoffs four times under Stearns since he took over after the 2015 season, including an NLCS appearance in 2018.
