Opening Day is right around the corner and the Atlanta Braves will be looking to build off a season in which they won the NL East division and made it to the NLCS. Its fans will love ESPN's Opening Day power rankings as the Braves come in ranked all the way up at No. 4.

Atlanta brings back almost its entire roster from last season and is full of powerhouse bats and arms. It is no surprise to see them amongst the World Series favorites in the rankings. In fact, the Braves only trail the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees and San Diego Padres.

The Braves offense is led by reigning NL MVP first baseman Freddie Freeman and one of the young stars of the MLB in outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. However, they don't have to carry the entire load as Atlanta boasts a lineup that averaged 5.62 runs per game last season (No. 2 in the MLB).

Atlanta's front office made it a point in the offseason to upgrade the pitching staff and it did so by bringing in veteran starters Charlie Morton and Drew Smyly. They add to a deep rotation that also features young phenoms Ian Anderson (1.95 ERA in 2020) and Max Fried (7-0 record in 2020).

Simply put, the Braves have what it takes to compete with anyone in the MLB. It'll be a battle in a strong NL East, but Atlanta heads into the 2021 season with +140 odds to win the division and +1000 odds to win the World Series, according to MLB odds posted on Fanduel Sportsbook.
