Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was having an impressive rookie year before season-ending ACL and MCL tears prematurely ended his campaign. Fans have spent the offseason wondering if the 2020 first overall pick would be ready for the start of the 2021 NFL season. Fortunately, it looks like he's in the clear following his latest injury update.

The Bengals announced player placements on Sunday, however, they did not list Burrow on the PUP list or any other sort of injury designation. This is great news because it means that the sophomore QB is healthy and will be on the field as Cincinnati kicks off its training camp on Tuesday.

Joe Burrow Injury Update

Burrow was looking impressive before his season came to an end. He had recorded 2,688 passing yards and threw for 13 touchdowns to 5 interceptions. He even became involved in the ground game occasionally, rushing for 142 yards and 3 TDs on 37 attempts.

However, getting to Burrow was a cakewalk for the opposing defenders last season as he was sacked 32 times in just 11 games. Considering that was tied for the 11th-most sacks in the league, the Bengals made it their priority to give Burrow his best chance at success in 2021. They've reunited him with his former LSU Tigers wideout Ja'Marr Chase and even continue to fortify the offensive line as training camp approaches.

Even if Burrow is fully healthy and has a better team surrounding him, the Bengals are a longshot to win Super Bowl 56, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Their +10000 odds are tied for the third-worst across the NFL.
