The New York Yankees are massive favorites to win the AL East and are at the top of the pack in odds to win the World Series. Unsurprisingly, that has them loaded with top fantasy baseball options, with few being more exciting than Aaron Judge.

Dealing with soreness in his shoulder and pectoral area, fantasy baseball owners may need to play the waiting game with Judge to start the year, however.

Our No. 8-ranked outfielder for the 2020 fantasy baseball season, there's no doubting Judge's upside when he's healthy.

Since he came into the majors in 2016, Judge leads all players (min. 750 batted-ball events) in average exit velocity, at 95.1 miles per hour. Nobody else checks in at even 94.0.

He's swatted 27 home runs in each of the last two seasons, despite missing significant time in both years, and he's flexing a career isolated power (ISO) of .285 and a weighted on-base average (wOBA) of .397.

Health has long been an issue for Judge, though. He played in 155 games in 2016, then he was limited to just 112 and 102 in 2018 and 2019. Fantasy baseball owners have every right to be concerned that these issues are already popping up again for 2020.

Even with the injury concerns, however, it's tough to ignore Judge's massive upside, especially while he's playing in what might end up being the most productive offense in the MLB.
