A.J. Green Injury Status Continues to Hurt Fantasy Outlook in Week 10

A.J. Green's fantasy value appeared to be picking up with a Week 10 return looking likely on Tuesday, but things changed suddenly on Thursday when he said that he will not play in Sunday's matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.

With this news, Tyler Boyd and Auden Tate both have their fantasy outlook solidified, though expectations should be tempered with Ryan Finley at QB for the Cincinnati Bengals.

For the Bengals' other wideouts, Green's absence just means business as usual, since he has yet to play a snap in 2019.

Over the last four games, that has meant a 26.8 percent target share for Boyd, a 22.0 percent share for Tate and a 17.1 percent share for Alex Erickson. Andy Dalton leads the NFL in pass attempts per game, so those shares have kept all three relevant in fantasy. Those market shares will likely translate to fewer targets this week, as they're unlikely to call on their rookie QB to sling the ball around that way in his first career start.

For Green, it's starting to look like he may not play at all this season, especially now that the trade deadline has passed and he'll be forced to finish out the year with a Cincinnati team that has no hopes of making a playoff run.

He could still offer some fantasy upside if he does return, so he's still worth stashing on your bench.

For Sunday's matchup against the Ravens we have Boyd at WR26, Tate at WR35 and Erickson un-ranked in our Week 10 PPR fantasy football rankings.
