It has been yet another disappointing start to the season for the Minnesota Timberwolves, who own a 12-20 record so far. This lack of team success has again frustrated their star player, Karl-Anthony Towns.

As soon as there is news regarding an All-Star being frustrated with their current situation, the other 29 teams take notice and begin to discuss what it will take to acquire this player. This has recently been happening with Towns. With that in mind, here are the three most likely traded destinations for the big man.

3. Oklahoma City Thunder

Oklahoma City has been active with trades, acquiring enough draft assets by shipping out Paul George and Russell Westbrook to be potential players in any trade. Over the next seven years, the Thunder have 15 first-round picks. It would be tough for Minnesota to part with the best player they have had since Kevin Garnett, but multiple first-round picks to aid in the rebuilding process, along with an expiring contract like Danilo Gallinari, would certainly make them think about it. On the Thunder's side, they have couple good guards, but they need to fortify their frontcourt, especially with the constant rumors around them possibly trading Steven Adams.

2. New York Knicks

The Knicks are a mess. They are unable to get any superstars to join their team voluntarily via free agency, so their best option is to be active before the trade deadline. They have a lot of young talent on their roster that they could include with the trade, and in return, they could create a solid frontcourt by teaming up Julius Randle and Towns, who are both Kentucky alums. It would also make sense for Minnesota to trade him to a team in the East that is not expected to compete.

1. Golden State Warriors

The Warriors seem to be the most likely destination, as they have been vocal in being interested in Towns, per Ethan Strauss. Towns, D'Angelo Russell and Devin Booker have continued to say that they want to team up somewhere, and with Russell already with the Warriors, this could be where the trio form. Even if that is unable to happen and Russell is included in the deal, the spacing that Towns will create when Steph Curry returns from injury will be very tough to defend.
