Tennessee Titans' star defensive lineman Jadeveon Clowney has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2020 season due to a knee injury. This is a brutal development for the Titans and Clowney, who bet on himself this year by signing a one-year deal in free agency.

But a player of his caliber should have no trouble landing a big deal in free agency – even if it's a little less than what he hoped for, due to the uncertainty of the 2021 cap and his injury.

Here are the the three most likely landing spots for Clowney in 2021.

3. Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals need to do a complete overhaul of their defense. Signing Clowney wouldn't fix those issues immediately, but it'd be a good place to start. Cincinnati's 74 total pressures on the year represent the lowest total in the league. He's not always up there in terms of sacks, but Clowney is consistently one of the most disruptive pass-rushers, ranking No. 6 in pressures in 2018 and No. 7 in ESPN's pass-rush win rate in 2019. When healthy, he's the type of talent that can transform a front seven.

2. Miami Dolphins

Brian Flores' defense has quickly become one of the best in football, but adding Clowney could take this unit over the top. Clowney's one of the most flexible defensive linemen in the league, and that would make him an excellent fit in Flores' system that puts a real emphasis on versatility. The Miami Dolphins also rank No. 12 in the NFL in terms of total pressures (100). Adding Clowney could give this team a dominant pass-rushing unit, and that would make one of the league's best secondaries even more lethal.

1. Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts could look to build on a strength by signing Clowney. The team is projected to have the third-most cap space in the league in 2021, and pairing Clowney with a disruptor like DeForest Buckner could be too tempting to pass up. That's a championship-level front seven, and stealing Clowney away from a division rival would just be an added bonus.
