The Georgia Bulldogs continue to be among the premier football programs in the county, recruiting a surplus of top talent. These are three Georgia players that have a great shot to be first-round picks in the 2021 NFL Draft.
1. Jamie Newman, QB
With Jake Fromm leaving to the NFL, Wake Forest graduate transfer QB Jamie Newman comes in for one season with the Bulldogs, and he is sure to impress. Trevor Lawrence is the name on everyone's radar, but Jamie Newman has the big arm and mobility to make his name known very quickly. He passed for 2,868 yards with 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, to go along with another 574 rushing yards last season at Wake Forest.
2. Richard LeCounte, S
Richard LeCounte was a problem for opposing offenses last season. He as third on his team in tackles (61), while starting all 14 games. The safety also recovered three fumbles, leading the SEC, while intercepting four passes, which was enough for second in the conference.
3. Tyson Campbell, CB
Tyson Campbell has the makings to be a top cornerback in the NFL. With a 6-foot-2-inch frame, Campbell has elite size and length to compete with top wide receivers, and he has the athleticism to challenge them as well. Campbell and LeCounte should be a dangerous combo in the secondary for the Bulldogs this season.
