The Alabama Crimson Tide have become the definition of consistency and excellence in college football. Nick Saban's program enters the season ranked No. 2 in the 2019 preseason Coaches Poll, as well as the betting favorites to win the SEC Championship at -170 odds, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Alabama has never missed a College Football Playoff, and the Tide have won the SEC Championship in four of the past five years, so it makes sense that they would be the favorites to win it once again in the 2019 preseason.

The Tide will also be led by Heisman hopeful quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, while returning seven starters to Alabama's stout defense and will, as always, feature one of the nation's top offenses.

While Alabama is the landslide favorite, that should take nothing away from the Georgia Bulldogs, who have the second-best odds to win the SEC title at +230. Led by quarterback Jake Fromm, the Bulldogs figure to be one of the best teams in the country, and they are likely the most legitimate threat to knock Alabama from the top of the SEC.

However, while the 2019 SEC Championship really is a two-horse race as far as the betting odds are concerned, the Florida Gators (+1200), LSU Tigers (+1600) and Auburn Tigers (+3000) round out the top-5 contenders by the odds, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
