Things are going from bad to worse along the offensive line for the Philadelphia Eagles. The latest injury report shows that starting tackle Lane Johnson is inactive for the team's Week 4 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. That means the Eagles will be without 4 of their 5 starting linemen from the season opener a few weeks ago.

Johnson is reportedly out due to a personal matter. The 3-time Pro Bowler has been dealing with a nagging ankle injury, but that is not why he will be away from the team on Sunday. Johnson has played in 100% of the offensive snaps this season and will be replaced by third-year pro Nate Herbig.

Center Jason Kelce is slated to be the only starting offensive lineman left from Week 1. Guard Isaac Seumalo recently underwent season-ending foot surgery and Brandon Brooks is expected to be out at least 8 week due to a torn pectoral.

Meanwhile, tackle Jordan Mailata suffered a setback in practice this week that will keep him on the sidelines. It is not yet known whether Johnson will return to the starting lineup in Week 5 or not. For now, this is a story to keep an eye on.

It doesn't get any easier for the Eagles in Week 4 as they are set to take on the reigning AFC champions. Philadelphia is slated as a 7-point home underdog against Kansas City, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The team will have to pull off a major upset to get back to a .500 record.
