UFC 333 Best Bets at a Glance
- Petr Yan Moneyline (-148)
- Alexander Volkov Moneyline (-122)
- Nurullo Aliev Moneyline (-106)
UFC 333 brings a loaded card to Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, October 24, highlighted by a pair of championship fights. Alexander Volkanovski defends the featherweight belt against undefeated Movsar Evloev in the main event, while Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili complete their bantamweight trilogy in the co-main event.
The card gets started unusually early on Saturday morning for viewers in the United States, with the early prelims beginning at 10:00 a.m. ET, the prelims at noon and the five-fight main card at 2:00 p.m. ET.
Using the latest UFC odds at FanDuel Sportsbook, let's break down three of my favorite bets for UFC 333 before running through the betting lines for all 14 fights.

UFC 333 Predictions and Picks
Petr Yan Moneyline (-148)
Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili are tied 1-1 entering the third installment of their rivalry, but their most recent meeting gives us plenty of reason to side with the defending champion.
Yan put together an outstanding performance at UFC 323, holding Dvalishvili to only 2 successful takedowns on 29 attempts. Yan also went 5-for-9 on his own takedowns and connected on 60% of his strikes across the five-round fight. The victory extended Yan's winning streak to four and pushed his professional record to 20-5.
That's especially meaningful against Dvalishvili because so much of his success is built around overwhelming opponents with wrestling volume and pressure. We saw the opposite result in their first meeting, when Merab converted 11 takedowns on a staggering 49 attempts, but Yan showed in the rematch that he can consistently stuff those entries while winning the cleaner exchanges.
FanDuel's -148 line implies Yan wins this matchup roughly 60% of the time before accounting for the sportsbook hold. Considering the adjustments he made in the second fight and his substantial edge if this remains primarily a striking contest, the champion is my favorite bet among the two title fights.
Alexander Volkov Moneyline (-122)
Alexander Volkov enters UFC 333 with a 40-11 professional record and has won six of his last seven fights. His lone defeat in that stretch was a controversial split decision against Ciryl Gane, and Volkov has since positioned himself back near the front of the heavyweight title picture.
The statistical profile also gives Volkov some meaningful advantages over Rizvan Kuniev. Volkov owns an 80-inch reach compared to Kuniev's 76 inches while landing 4.84 significant strikes per minute with 58% accuracy. Kuniev lands 4.32 per minute with 55% accuracy. Volkov has also absorbed just 2.90 significant strikes per minute despite a lengthy UFC career against elite heavyweight competition.
Kuniev's wrestling and clinch work are the primary danger. He owns a 94% takedown-defense rate and has won consecutive UFC fights after losing his promotional debut by split decision. But Volkov's length, jab and kicking game should make closing the distance difficult, and he's far more experienced navigating 15-minute fights against top-ranked opposition.
At only -122 on FanDuel, I don't think we're paying enough of a premium for the more proven fighter.
Nurullo Aliev Moneyline (-106)
This is my favorite near-pick'em spot on the preliminary card.
Nurullo Aliev enters Saturday with a perfect 12-0 professional record and is 4-0 inside the UFC. His style isn't particularly flashy, but his grinding wrestling approach has allowed him to consistently dictate where fights take place.
Grant Dawson is an excellent grappler in his own right, so this won't be an easy matchup. However, Aliev's underlying defensive numbers stand out. He owns an 80% takedown-defense rate and absorbs only 1.59 significant strikes per minute compared to Dawson's 2.14. Both fighters average more than one takedown per round, making the ability to win the wrestling exchanges particularly important.
Dawson has a much greater submission threat, with half of his professional victories coming by submission, but Aliev has yet to lose as a professional and has repeatedly shown he can win positional battles against UFC-level opposition.
With FanDuel essentially pricing this as a coin flip, I'll take the younger unbeaten fighter at -106.
