Best NFL Touchdown Picks This Week (Week 7)
Garrett Wilson Anytime Touchdown (+170)
Dolphins at Jets — 1:00 p.m. ET
Garrett Wilson continues to dominate the passing-game opportunities for the New York Jets, making him an appealing touchdown target against the Miami Dolphins.
Wilson owns a 28.8% target share and has run a route on 91.8% of New York's pass plays. He has also accounted for 38.7% of the team's air yards and 23.5% of its red-zone targets, giving him the type of high-value receiving role we want when betting a touchdown prop.
That usage has already translated into three receiving touchdowns through six games. Wilson has scored in three of his past five outings, and his efficiency has been strong, as well, with 2.20 yards per route run.
Miami has allowed only two touchdowns to wide receivers so far, but at the +170 odds, I'm willing to back one of the league's more target-dominant receivers to convert another scoring opportunity.
Justin Jefferson Anytime Touchdown (+165)
Colts at Vikings — 1:00 p.m. ET
Justin Jefferson hasn't played a full slate of games this season, but he has wasted little time making his presence felt for the Minnesota Vikings.
Jefferson has scored three touchdowns across four appearances while turning 24 targets into 19 receptions and 258 yards. That works out to 64.5 receiving yards per game, and he has already produced one multi-touchdown performance.
The matchup gives us another reason to like his chances. The Indianapolis Colts have surrendered five receiving touchdowns to wideouts through six games along with 893 receiving yards to the position. That's a healthy environment for Minnesota's top receiving threat.
Jefferson's ceiling around the goal line was on display in Week 1, when he scored twice, and he added another touchdown in his most recent appearance.
Getting +165 odds on a receiver with Jefferson's scoring ability and established offensive role is enough for me to take a shot.
Jaylen Waddle Anytime Touchdown (+190)
Broncos at Cardinals — 4:05 p.m. ET
Jaylen Waddle hasn't posted quality touchdown numbers since joining the Denver Broncos, but his underlying role suggests more scores could be coming.
Waddle owns a 21.5% target share and a 24.1% target rate per route run while accounting for 35.1% of Denver's air yards. He has also drawn four red-zone targets through five games, and Denver has made a concerted effort to manufacture opportunities for him with five designed targets.
The biggest selling point is the matchup. The Arizona Cardinals have allowed 10 receiving touchdowns to wide receivers through six games, the second-most in the NFL. Opposing wideouts are averaging 1.7 touchdowns per game against Arizona.
Waddle has scored only once this season, but that modest touchdown total helps explain why we're getting +190 odds.
With a solid target share, meaningful air-yard involvement, and arguably the best wide-receiver TD matchup on the slate, this looks like a good spot for some positive touchdown regression
