Tennessee Titans Draft Northwestern OT Peter Skoronski 11th Overall

One of the best early-round investments teams can make in the NFL Draft is with offensive linemen, and that's a decision that the Tennessee Titans made by selecting Northwestern tackle Peter Skoronski with the 11th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
The NFL Draft betting odds at FanDuel Sportsbook listed Skoronski's over/under at 10.5 with -136 odds on the over as of Thursday morning. He was +320 to be the first offensive lineman drafted, the second-best odds in the class.
Peter Skoronski NFL Draft Profile
Skoronski maintained elite PFF grades across his three seasons at Northwestern (81.4, 83.8, and 89.5) and allowed just 5 sacks over 1,258 pass-block snaps.
Size (and length) questions based on his measurables have some thinking Skoronski is better suited for a guard position in the NFL, but once accounting for that, the Wildcat is actually Mel Kiper Jr.'s favorite interior line prospect.
Peter Skoronski in Tennessee
The Titans boasted the lowest pass block grade in the NFL in 2022, according to PFF. Their 52.4 was a full 3.7 points worse than any other unit in the NFL.
They were a much-better 12th in run blocking, but it's clear that offensive line was the team's biggest need entering the draft.
Tennessee Titans 2023 Outlook
At +8500 odds to win the Super Bowl, per FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, the Titans are still a bit away from contending.
But in the AFC South, they're still sitting with -105 odds to go over 7.5 wins and are a respectable +198 to make the playoffs. Not too bad for a seven-win team from a year ago.
