FanDuel Single-Game NBA DFS Picks and Helper: Timberwolves at Mavericks (5/26/24)

Since NBA DFS is easier to predict than baseball or football, it would likely get plenty of votes as the best sport to play on FanDuel. Basketball players usually stick to the same minutes and produce at roughly the same rate. Sounds easy, right? Trust me -- it's not!

As a result, NBA daily fantasy is highly reliant on a player's opportunity, so you'll need to ensure that you're up to date with key injuries. Our projections -- which are powered by numberFire -- update throughout the day to reflect current news. You can also turn to numberFire for player news updates as well as a matchup heat map and lineup optimizer to help give you an edge.

On top of all that, here at FanDuel Research, we'll come at you each day with this NBA DFS primer, which breaks down some of the day's top plays at each position.

Let's dive into the Minnesota Timberwolves-Dallas Mavericks Game 3 single-game slate on FanDuel.

NBA Single-Game DFS Picks for Timberwolves-Mavericks

All NBA odds are via FanDuel Sportsbook.

Date and Time: Sunday, May 26th at 8:00 p.m. ET

Total: 208.5 (-110/-110)

Studs to Target

Luka Doncic ($17,000): After recording 1.46 FanDuel points per minute in this series, Doncic should be a clear option at MVP or STAR slots with his elite production. The Mavericks' superstar has roasted the Timberwolves in four previous meetings, averaging 34.5 real-life points and 59.1 FanDuel points per game.

Anthony Edwards ($15,500): While Edwards' recent lack of scoring is somewhat concerning, "Ant-Man" still leads his team's starting unit in fantasy production (1.06 FanDuel points per minute) during the Western Conference Finals while also standing second in usage (24.1%).

Kyrie Irving ($14,000): The 32-year old has returned to his aggressive offensive form in this series, producing 0.63 real-life points and 0.98 FanDuel points per minute. Irving has averaged 28.3 real-life points and 47.3 FanDuel points per game versus Minnesota this season.

Mid-Range Options

Karl-Anthony Towns ($13,000): Despite inconsistent playing time due to foul trouble, KAT has provided efficient production in his last two games, recording 1.05 FanDuel points per minute and a 30.3% usage rate.

Rudy Gobert ($12,500): While most will remember Gobert's defensive play on the Mavericks' game-winning shot in Game 2, Minnesota's center has accounted for a solid 0.94 FanDuel points per minute and 35.4 FanDuel points per game in the Western Conference Finals.

Dereck Lively ($11,000): Even in a second unit role, Lively has been a beast against the Timberwolves, accounting for 1.12 FanDuel points per minute and 29.7 FanDuel points per game.

Mike Conley ($10,500): After Minnesota's veteran flashed some promising production on Friday night, Conley is averaging 0.85 FanDuel points per minute and a 19.3% usage rate this series.

Jaden McDaniels ($10,000): Despite last night's dud in Game 2, the 23-year old is still averaging 24.1 FanDuel points per game and 0.64 FanDuel points per minute in his last two appearances.

Naz Reid ($9,500): Minnesota's sixth man has played extremely well in this series, accounting for a team-high 1.10 FanDuel points per minute and 30.7 FanDuel points per contest.

PJ Washington ($9,000): The Mavericks' forward has provided a reasonable floor in their last two victories, recording 39.3 minutes and 24.2 FanDuel points per game.

Value Plays

Daniel Gafford ($8,500): While his rookie teammate has recently received more attention for his stellar play, Gafford has still produced 1.39 FanDuel points per minute and 29.4 FanDuel points per game during the Western Conference Finals.

Derrick Jones Jr. ($8,000): The Mavericks' reliable defender has been a steady presence in their rotation, averaging 0.45 FanDuel points and 33.9 minutes per game.

Kyle Anderson ($7,500): "Slow-Mo" has emerged with an increased role after seeing sparse minutes in Round 2, logging 18.7 minutes per game and 0.98 FanDuel points per minute.
