College basketball season is in full swing, and FanDuel Sportsbook offers prop bets for key games to dive deeper in the action.

For bettors, numberFire's Matchup Heat Map helps identify favorable game environments, while KenPom and Sports-Reference offer a wide range of team-level statistics. Then, we can turn to Bart Torvik and RealGM for advanced player stats and splits.

College Basketball Prop Bets

Wake Forest at No. 9 Duke

Jared McCain Over 13.5 Points (-104)

Duke guard Jared McCain has gone for 11 points in back-to-back games, but he's in a nice spot to go over his 13.5-point prop tonight.

McCain is no stranger to big games, especially at home. He's averaging 13.9 points per game at Cameroon Indoor, clearing 13.5 in seven of 14 such outings.

However, six of those have come in the last 10 home affairs as his minutes continue to tick up for the year. He also has five 20-point games at home, so Jared McCain To Score 20+ Points (+410) is a longshot I have my eye on.

The matchup isn't a cakewalk, but we shouldn't worry too much about Wake Forest's defense. The Demon Deacons rank 92nd nationally in defense, according to numberFire's metrics. In ACC play, they rank third in defensive efficiency but just eighth in scoring defense, allowing 72.3 points per game.

The difference in those metrics boils down to how fast Wake plays. They're fourth in pace, so this is a pace-up spot for the Blue Devils, who rank ninth.

McCain gets over 50% of his buckets from three, so it's not great that Wake Forest has allowed the fewest threes in the ACC. However, they haven't been impenetrable from beyond the arc. In their four ACC losses (all on the road), opponents shot 36% from deep, and that includes a 0-for-8 effort from Florida State. McCain is shooting nearly 45% at Cameroon Indoor this season, so he's plenty skilled enough to let it rain against a strong defense.

With Duke-Wake Forest boasting a 153.5 over/under, Jared McCain is in the right game environment to light it up, cruising past his points prop in the process.

West Virginia at TCU

Micah Peavy Over 11.5 Points (-106)

TCU has the slate's second-highest implied total (81), so there's logic in targeting their points props. That leads me to TCU's Micah Peavy, whose points prop is set at 11.5 on FanDuel Sportsbook.

The 6'8" senior is coming off a rough two games where he shot just 4-of-16 from the floor, but he's been one of TCU's most reliable home scorers this season. In 12 games at Schollmeier Arena, Peavy has averaged 11.7 points and 9.7 field goal attempts per game. He's turned up the perimeter aggression at home, shooting 35% from three off 3.1 attempts per game.

That work from beyond the arc could come in handy tonight against West Virginia. In Big 12 play, the Mountaineers have allowed the most made (8.8) and attempted (24.6) threes per game. Their 36% three-point field goal percentage allowed is the fourth-highest in the conference.

West Virginia isn't just bad at defending the three; they've struggled across the board on defense. They've given up the most points per game (79.2) in conference play and rank 280th nationally in defense, according to numberFire's metrics.

Prior to his most recent dud, Peavy had registered double-digit shot attempts in four straight games, scoring at least 12 points in three of those. I like him to get back on track against the Big 12's worst defense and hit the over on his points prop tonight.

No. 4 Kansas at No. 23 Texas Tech

Pop Isaacs Jr To Make 3+ Threes (-108)

Fourth-ranked Kansas is on the road, so it's a good night to target Texas Tech's three-point props.

The Jayhawks have struggled to defend the outside shot all year. Among 14 Big 12 schools, Kansas gives up the second-most three-point attempts (23.7) and the third-most made threes (8.2) per game.

They've been even worse away from home. In five Big 12 roadies, the Jayhawks have allowed 9.1 threes per game to be made at a 41% clip. Among those were a 14-three night from Iowa State and a 12-three performance from West Virginia.

That brings me to Pop Isaacs Jr., Texas Tech's leading scorer. In addition to his 16.9 threes per game, Isaacs is averaging 2.5 threes per game and shooting 33% from deep. He's been even better in Big 12 play, notching at least three three-pointers in six of 10 conference games and shooting 38%.

Though he's run cold the last two games, making just 3-of-12 triples, he went for 32 points and six threes the last time a ranked team visited Lubbock.

It doesn't hurt that Isaacs hit this prop in last year's home bout with KU, nailing 4-of-9 threes in an 18-point effort. I'm expecting a similar effort this time around, so I'll take Pop Isaacs Jr. To Make 3+ Threes at essentially even odds.
