The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the league's top stories this season as the NFL's only remaining undefeated team. Pittsburgh has a good, possibly even great, chance to run the table. Surely the only perfect team would be favored in the odds to win the Super Bowl, right?

Steelers Super Bowl Odds

Wrong. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Steelers at +550 odds to win the Lombardi, tied for second along with the New Orleans Saints. That just shows the disrespect for what Pittsburgh has already accomplished this year.

Pittsburgh having the same odds as a team with two losses is questionable. The Steelers should at least be considered a co-favorite, yet they trail the Kansas City Chiefs (+280) in the odds too.

Pittsburgh isn't undefeated by accident. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is one of the league's best at the position, and his two Super Bowl rings show he knows how to perform in the playoffs. Roethlisberger is surrounded by a bevy of options, with five Pittsburgh players recording at least three receiving touchdowns this year.

The Steelers' defense, led by standout EDGE rusher and Defensive Player of the Year favorite TJ Watt, has put the squeeze on opponents this year, allowing the least passing yards (193.2) and points (17.1) per game. Pittsburgh is ranked by Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA metric as the top defense in the league.

None of the NFL's leading contenders are perfect, but the Steelers have a top offense and defense that has led them to an unblemished record. Some of their wins might not be dominant blowouts, but they've proven that they'll get the job done either way. That's why they deserve more respect in the odds to win the Super Bowl.
