It's been a strange year for the Baltimore Ravens' rushing attack. Just one year removed from being the best rushing offense the league has ever seen, Baltimore's ground game has taken a nose dive virtually across the board in 2020. And things could get a whole lot worse before they get better.

Following the news that Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins have tested positive for COVID-19, Gus Edwards is now pretty much the last man standing in this backfield. While that's a significant blow to this offense as a whole in Week 12, Edwards suddenly becomes a must-add player in fantasy football.

Gus Edwards Fantasy Outlook

Likely to have the backfield all to himself, Edwards should handle some huge volume on Thanksgiving against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In the three games Ingram left early or missed entirely, Edwards was averaging 13.7 carries per game (Week 6, 8, 9). He did so despite splitting carries with Dobbins, who was averaging 12.0 attempts per game himself during that same stretch. With both Dobbins and Ingram out, Edwards has real 20-plus carry potential.

Normally volume like that would have Edwards as a top-10 play, but the matchup with the Steelers is concerning. Pittsburgh is the league's sixth-best rushing defense by Football Outsiders' DVOA metrics. The Steelers have also surrendered a league-low 5 TDs on the ground and give up just 17.4 PPR points per game to opposing RBs, which is the second-lowest mark in the league.

Still, Edwards had his best game of the season against that very defense in Week 8, turning 16 carries into 87 rushing yards and a TD.

Not likely to offer much in the passing game, with just 7 targets on the year, Edwards will slot in as a rock-solid RB2 in standard-scoring formats in Week 12. He'll be more of a low-end RB2 or decent FLEX option in PPR leagues, though.

That's fantastic value for someone who's only rostered in 28% of Yahoo! leagues.
