There are plenty of roster decisions that need to be made each week in fantasy football, including potential trades.

On one hand, it can be extremely beneficial to buy low on a certain player via trade before they see a positive change in usage or experience a breakout performance. And on the opposite end of the spectrum, there are also players to consider trading away while their value is potentially at its peak.

With last week in the books, which players should we consider selling high in fantasy football before this week's games take place?

Sell High Candidates in Fantasy Football

Kenneth Walker III, RB, Chiefs

Kenneth Walker III is going to have a good season, and he’s looked excellent through two games.

With that said, I'd at least explore dealing Walker because his fantasy value may be approaching a point where the market is placing him alongside the very top tier of running backs, and I’m not sure he should be on that level.

While Walker is a good back in an elite situation in the Kansas City Chiefs‘ offense, he’s probably not going to average 6.1 yards per carry and handle 28.0 touches per game (23.5 carries and 4.5 catches) for the whole season, which is what he’s averaging right now.

KC coach Andy Reid said he wants to get Emmett Johnson more involved in an effort to ease Walker’s workload, and Walker came into this year averaging just 4.3 yards per carry.

To be clear, I’d only look to deal Walker for a haul — either another elite RB such as Bijan Robinson or a top-tier WR. He’s extremely valuable; I just think his value might be a wee bit higher than it should be.

Stefon Diggs, WR, Commanders

Stefon Diggs scored twice in Week 2 despite finishing with just five catches for 47 yards.

The touchdown production is great as he now has three TDs on the season, but that's not a particularly convincing yardage/volume profile to build around. He’s played just 63% and 51% of the snaps through the Washington Commanders‘ two games.

Plus, with Jayden Daniels set to miss time, Diggs’ outlook just isn’t all that appealing despite his early TD luck.

He's a name-brand receiver who could command a larger return than his underlying usage suggests.

Tre Tucker, WR, Raiders

Tre Tucker had an enormous Week 2, catching five passes for 119 yards and a touchdown. He's an especially interesting sell-high candidate because the performance was driven by big plays, including a 42-yard touchdown.

Plus, he’s about to get bumped down in the Las Vegas Raiders‘ pecking order with Brock Bowers likely to return this week or next week.

Tucker is still worth rostering, but this looks like a good opportunity to see if another manager will buy into his Week 2 explosion. With Bowers nearing a return and Tucker unlikely to consistently generate outings like he just had in Week 2, I’d be willing to move him for a more stable weekly fantasy option.
