Week 3 wasn't nearly as chaotic as Week 2 was, but there's still a lot that fantasy football managers need to monitor.

Following a few breakout performances on Sunday, here are the five best players to target on the waiver wire in Week 4.

Top Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 4 Fantasy Football

5. Carlos Hyde, RB, Seattle Seahawks (19% Rostered)

Carlos Hyde is only worth adding if Chris Carson can't suit up. Carson is reportedly dealing with a knee sprain, though there's no concrete word as to whether or not he'll be available on Sunday. Facing the Miami Dolphins, a potential feature back role would make Hyde extremely valuable if Carson isn't able to suit up.

4. Brandon Aiyuk, WR, San Francisco 49ers (28% Rostered)

Brandon Aiyuk didn't do much in his Week 2 NFL debut, but he really stood out on Sunday. He turned 8 targets into 5 receptions for 70 yards, handling another 3 carries for 31 yards and a touchdown. That usage is going to make him really interesting going forward. He's also played at least 72 percent of the snaps in each of the last two games, so it looks like he's here to stay in this role – at least until Deebo Samuel gets back to full strength.

3. Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, San Francisco 49ers (22% Rostered)

Another 49er, Jeff Wilson Jr. was an impressive second banana to Jerick McKinnon against the New York Jets. He turned 12 carries into 15 yards and a touchdown, but added 3 receptions for 54 yards and another score. That kind of volume in a Kyle Shanahan offense will make him a compelling target until Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert get back to full health.

2. Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals (5% Rostered)

John Ross was a surprise inactive on Sunday (coach's decision), and Tee Higgins has seemingly supplanted him on the depth chart. The Cincinnati Bengals' 2020 second-round pick has seen his playing time rise every week, playing 22 percent of the snaps in Week 1, 65 percent in Week 2 and a career-high 79 percent in Week 3. He saw 9 targets in that Week 3 game, catching 5 passes for 40 yards and 2 scores. Higgins is one of the few names on this list whose value isn't entirely tied to a teammate's health. He has big-time upside the rest of the way.

1. Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings (31% Rostered)

Justin Jefferson broke out in a big way in Week 3. Through two weeks, Jefferson hadn't seen a snap share above 69 percent, seeing 3 targets in each game. That all changed Sunday. Jefferson turned 9 targets into 7 catches for 175 yards and a score, playing 78 percent of the team's snaps. He doesn't have much competition for the No. 2 role in Minnesota and this performance could help him solidify a bigger role in the offense going forward. He's the clear-cut No. 1 waiver wire target of the week.
