Saturday night brings another major UFC pay-per-view card, with a UFC 258 fight card that is headlined by a Welterweight title clash between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns.
Here's a look at the top FanDuel UFC picks for UFC 258 on Saturday.
UFC 258 Fantasy Picks for FanDuel
Kamaru Usman ($21): Kamaru Usman's fighting style is just about perfect for fantasy output. The Welterweight champion has landed an average of 3.38 takedowns per 15 minutes as well as 4.50 significant strikes per minute over his UFC career. Across his last four fights, his output has been especially high, averaging 135 significant strikes, 4.8 takedowns and 0.5 knockdowns landed per fight in that sample. As one of the biggest favorites on the card (-290 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook), you'll also likely get a win bonus from Usman. He's a strong play in your MVP spot.
Alexa Grasso ($16): All the hype in the co-main event is behind the young up-and-comer Maycee Barber, but Alexa Grasso is still the favorite. Grasso has faced much tougher competition than Barber across her UFC career (including a former Strawweight champion and another former title contender), and in her last two wins has racked up totals of 88 and 148 significant strikes landed.
Maki Pitolo ($11): If you're paying up for Usman, you'll need a value play. Maki Pitolo fits the bill. He's a +142 underdog, while everyone else priced at $11 or below on FanDuel is at least a +194 underdog. He has also scored 10 of his 13 pro wins by KO/TKO or Submission, so if Pitolo does pull off the upset it's likely to come with a strong fantasy score.
