Miles Sanders Stats

Miles Sanders had a limited role in Happy Valley before bursting onto the scene in 2018. He did have success as a kick returner back in 2016, averaging 20.8 yards per return and actually owns the Penn State season record with 33 total kick returns.

After Sanders only accumulated 56 carries for 375 rushing yards in his first two seasons, he rushed 220 times in 2018 for 1,274 yards and nine touchdowns. His usage in the passing game was limited, but he was effective in spurts, hauling in 24 receptions for 5.8 yards per catch. Much of Sanders' success as runner was a result of his ability to change direction both in open space and when making interior runs, which will be crucial in transitioning to the next level.

Miles Sanders NFL Mock Draft Prediction

- Atlanta Falcons (No. 117), Chicago Bears (No. 126)

After losing Tevin Coleman to San Francisco in free agency, the Atlanta Falcons are in need of a restock at running back heading into the 2019 NFL season. Devonta Freeman still has a few years left on his deal, but there are injury concerns surrounding the 27-year-old and the Falcons would be wise to bring another back in, especially one that has relatively low mileage on him.

The Chicago Bears surprised a lot of folks around the league when they sent star running back Jordan Howard to Philadelphia in a trade earlier this offseason. The Bears still have explosive scat back Tarik Cohen, but they will likely need to have someone else shoulder some of the load on the ground considering Cohen is undersized and does not generally run between the tackles.
