Deshaun Watson is a 25-year-old quarterback who has already established himself as one of the best signal-callers in the NFL. Needless to say, he's driving a ton of interest on the trade market now that he's officially requested to be dealt from the Houston Texans.

While teams like the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers have typically been viewed as the most logical landing spots for the Clemson product, there could be a surprise contender in the Watson sweepstakes. According to Watson's former teammate Kareem Jackson, the Texans' QB has interest in joining the Denver Broncos.

I had a couple of conversations with him... Just with him saying that Denver is a place that's he's interested in landing.

Denver only has the sixth-best odds to land Watson, but this pairing would make a ton of sense.

For one, Denver was viewed as a potential dark-horse contender entering the year. A rash of injuries and a poor 2020 campaign from incumbent QB Drew Lock kept that from being a reality. But if Watson entered the fray, this team could get dangerous in a hurry.

The Broncos have a slew of talented, young players at the skill positions. It's not hard to see Watson thriving while throwing to Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, Noah Fant and KJ Hamler. Defensively, the Broncos have some truly elite building blocks. A healthy season from Von Miller could get that unit back on track quickly.

With Denver competing with the likes of Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes for the foreseeable future in the AFC West, the Broncos might just need to go out and land a superstar QB of their own. Deshaun Watson certainly fits the bill.

Don't be surprised if Denver makes a significant push to land Watson.
