Browns Fans Can Vote on Chase Winovich's Jersey Number in 2022

Agreeing on a blockbuster deal for quarterback Deshaun Watson wasn't the only trade the Cleveland Browns made this offseason. The team also acquired linebacker Chase Winovich from the New England Patriots and he is now allowing his new fan base to pick his number for the upcoming year.

Winovich posted a poll on Twitter Saturday night giving fans the choice between 69 and 98 and the updating results continue are favor the option of the 26-year-old donning the number 69. Winovich wore No. 50 with the Patriots, but that is already being taken by fellow linebacker Jacob Phillips.

The Browns dealt linebacker Mack Wilson in order to bring Winovich to town and act as a depth player for an improving defense. The former Michigan standout racked up 85 tackles and 11.0 sacks across three seasons in New England (45 games) and excelled as a special teams player as well.

Keep in mind Winovich also enters the 2022 season on the final year on his NFL rookie contract. He's going to have a chip on his shoulder and the motivation to ball out for his new team. That's a great combination for a player to have given the Browns are looking to bounce back with a playoff berth.
