Alabama running back Najee Harris is an electric talent on the field, and the senior has a real shot at hearing his name called in the first round of the NFL Draft. Harris placed fifth in Heisman voting for the 2020 season after racking up 1,466 yards on the ground and 26 TDs, while adding another 425 yards and 4 TDs through the air.

Multiple franchises are in need of RB help. With that in mind, here are three likely teams that will pick Harris in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Najee Harris 2021 NFL Draft

3. Atlanta Falcons (No. 35)

The Atlanta Falcons' Alabama connection could grow even stronger if Harris is around in the early part of the second round. Atlanta was forced to take an RB-by-committee approach to end the season after the Todd Gurley experiment didn't work out. With Gurley and Brian Hill both as unrestricted free agents, and fellow RB Ito Smith lacking in wow factor, Harris would be an excellent addition for the Falcons, whether as a rebuilding piece or a Day 1 contributor if the team looks to bounce back in 2021.

2. New York Jets (No. 23/34)

The New York Jets had no truly dependable running back option outside of the 39-year-old Frank Gore during their terrible 2020 season. New York has some young RBs like Ty Johnson and La'Mical Perine on the roster, but none of them are as electric as Harris. The Jets need talent, and few are as talented in this running back class as Harris. If New York is sold on the Alabama RB, they could even take him at No. 23 since they own the Seattle Seahawks' first-rounder.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 24)

If the Jets pass on Harris at 23, Pittsburgh should snap the RB up. With James Conner set to hit free agency, and the team facing salary cap issues, locking down a talented RB on a rookie-scale contract would set Pittsburgh up for success in the present and future. Ben Roethlisberger is clearly showing his age, and if the QB returns to the team in 2021, the Steelers will need a dependable run game to sometimes carry the load if his struggles continue. Harris was the lead back on the nation's best team, so he's more than up for the role.
