The Carolina Panthers are one of the league's newer franchises, though they've already managed to field quite a few talented players. And wide receiver is certainly no exception.

With that in mind, let's break down the three best wide receivers in Panthers history.

Best Panthers Wide Receivers

3. DJ Moore (2018-Present)

Nine of the top-10 single-season leaders in receiving yards in Carolina history belong to the next two names on this list. The only other player to have cracked that top 10 is DJ Moore. He's only been with the team for two years, so this could be a bit of recency bias, but he's just too good to leave off this list. The 1,175 receiving yards Moore tallied in 15 games last season were good for the seventh-best single-season campaign in franchise history. Notably, he did all that despite dealing with some really ineffective QB play. Moore should climb this list before all is said and done.

2. Muhsin Muhammad (1996-04, 2008-09)

Muhsin Muhammed was really productive for a really long time. He had three seasons with at least 1,150 receiving yards in Carolina, and he currently ranks second in franchise history in receiving yards (9,255), touchdowns (50) and receptions (696). He made two Pro Bowls in Carolina and was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2004.

1. Steve Smith (2001-13)

Not even a talent like Muhammed can top Steve Smith. Any way you look at it, Smith is the best wideout in this franchise's history. He's tops in receptions (836), yards (12,197) and touchdowns (67). And the distance between Smith and the rest of the pack is pretty staggering. The five-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro will likely be in the Hall of Fame in the not-too-distant future.
