NFL Playoff Futures: Who Will Lead the Postseason in Receiving Yards?

Subscribe to our newsletter

With the NFL playoffs here, so too is a reset on future betting.

If you weren't able to correctly predict this year's receiving yardage leader (Tyreek Hill with 1,799), perhaps you'll have better luck looking at who will lead the postseason in receiving yardage -- which really should be labeled as the "Jerry Rice Award" or "Julian Edelman Award."

One year ago, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce cashed this Playoff Specials market for the second time in his career -- also did in 2020 -- by compiling 257 receiving yards over three games. Prior to that, Cooper Kupp (2021) and Davante Adams (2019) were other recent winners.

Given the modern postseason layout, you'd be wise to look for a player who will get at least three contests to build lofty stat totals. Still, that can be tricky to decipher with powerhouses like the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers not in action for the opening round.

Let's take a look at the most playoff receiving yards odds, diving into the best options on the board. If you're interested in other similar markets, you can read up on the postseason rushing yards odds and the playoff passing yards odds.

NFL Most Playoff Receiving Yards

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: +200

Fresh off a career year, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is currently as hot as any offensive player entering the postseason. Through his past dozen games, Lamb produced seven contests with 115 or more receiving yards.

When the dust settled after Week 18, the latest great No. 88 for Dallas set the team's single-season receiving record at 1,749 yards. Additionally, Lamb caught more footballs than any other player this year, notching 135 receptions (another Cowboys' record). Undoubtedly, he and quarterback Dak Prescott have been locked in down the stretch.

Two other natural factors are in Lamb's favor for this market: he has a game in the opening round of the playoffs, and it will be played -- protected from any harsh weather -- at AT&T Stadium. Looking around the league this weekend (especially in the AFC), inclement conditions are forecasted for several contests.

Simply, whether it is raining, freezing or doing both at the same time (snowing), Lamb won't have to worry about those aspects this Sunday versus the Green Bay Packers (or any other home game Dallas might earn) -- "Jerry World" is always kept dry and at a comfortable playing temperature.

Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco 49ers

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: +800

As San Francisco's No. 1 receiver this past season, Brandon Aiyuk has continued to remind the league of his dominant play style. Utilizing his long arms and top-end athleticism, Aiyuk led the NFL in yards per catch (17.9) among players with more than 65 receptions.

"B.A." has emerged as quarterback Brock Purdy's favorite target over the San Francisco 49ers' last 20 games. In 2023. Aiyuk attracted a team-high 105 targets, doing well to haul in 71.4% of his opportunities. With skills to take the top off the defense and to thrive over the middle, Aiyuk is another in a long line of well-rounded football players for the 49ers.

When it comes to making a bet in this market on any member of the Niners, keep in mind that San Fran earned a first-round bye this postseason. Aiyuk is the sort of player who can do more with less, but the Arizona State alum will not be able to compile any statistics over Wild Card Weekend.

Yielding eight-to-one odds in this market at FanDuel Sportsbook, Aiyuk is enticing, but he does play in a crowded offense. Regardless, that did not stop him from amassing the league's seventh-highest receiving total this season (1,342 yards).

Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: +1000

Stefon Diggs just wrapped up a six-year stretch where he had more than 100 receptions in five separate seasons. Of course, in terms of 1,000-yard campaigns, Diggs has gone over that threshold every year since 2018.

Undoubtedly, Diggs has been quarterback Josh Allen's go-to target since arriving in Western New York. Still, you should know that his Wild Card romp this weekend versus the Pittsburgh Steelers has a chance of being a snow game with impactful wind. As a member of the Buffalo Bills, Diggs is certainly used to playing in cold conditions, but it still serves as an extra impediment in the passing game.

To be frank, Diggs was not at his most productive form over the recent regular season stretch. He has not gone for more than 100 yards in a game since Week 6. From Week 11 to Week 17, Diggs produced just one game with more than 50 receiving yards.

At FanDuel Sportsbook, the Maryland alum is yielding 10-to-1 odds to lead the upcoming playoffs in receiving yards. So long as Buffalo gets by Pittsburgh (a game where Buffalo is a 10.0-point favorite), Diggs will have more than just this one blizzard to compile stats in.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: +1000

A tough player through and through, Amon-Ra St. Brown is one of the scariest players in the NFL when he has the football in his hands. After his third professional year, St. Brown has emerged as the Detroit Lions' best threat through the air. In 2023, he hooked up with quarterback Jared Goff for career highs in receiving yards (1,515) and touchdowns (10).

After Lamb and Hill, St. Brown was third in yardage through air this past regular season. To better put the USC alum's 2023 accomplishments into perspective, it was the Lions' best campaign from a receiver since Calvin "Megatron" Johnson's historic 2012 showing (the year Johnson almost went for 2,000 yards).

St. Brown plays the game with undeniable physicality. He has the ability to make plays on the outside as well as the inside, regularly running through arm tackles of opposing defensive backs.

This weekend, St. Brown will have the benefit of playing an indoor game at Ford Field, and it's a game with the week's highest over/under (51.5). Additionally, Detroit tight end Sam LaPorta (knee) may miss the Wild Card bid versus the Los Angeles Rams. If that's the case, this Sunday night will be an advantageous opportunity for St. Brown to put up strong numbers. Also, you just know Goff wants to stick it to the Rams.

The obvious negative with ARSB in this market is that the Lions are far from a lock to beat LA, with Detroit just a 3.0-point favorite. At the same time, that's why St. Brown's odds are +1000, so the risk is baked into the odds.
