NBA Star Player Prop Bets for Monday 2/26/24

Player props are a fun way to get involved with the NBA each night, especially when it comes to the game's elite players.

That's what we'll focus on here -- prop bets for the NBA's best players via FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA Star Player Props.

Using FanDuel Research's daily basketball projections -- which are powered by numberFire -- as a guide, here are some NBA player prop bets that look appealing via the NBA odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

NBA Prop Picks

Tyrese Haliburton Over 11.5 Assists (-118)

No one dishes out more dimes than Tyrese Haliburton.

On the season, Haliburon is averaging a league-leading 11.7 assists. He has eclipsed 11.5 assists in 24 of his 45 games (53.3%), but this hit rate is a bit misleading.

Prior to the All-Star break, Hali was under injury management for eight games. During this span, he saw a decrease in court time, and in turn, production.

Haliburton is back to playing without restrictions, both as his minutes and performance are concerned. In restriction-less games, he is clearing 11.5 assists at a 56.8% rate, which proves there is value in the over for this prop at -118 (54.1% implied probability).

But beyond the value, Haliburton's matchup against the Toronto Raptors could prove to be quite fruitful.

The Raptors are giving up the second-most assists to points guards this season. And across their last 30 games, Toronto has allowed opposing point guards to record the most dimes in the NBA.

The Indiana Pacers have a 125.5 implied team total tonight, good for the highest on Monday's slate. This alone shows that Indiana players will have increased potential assist opportunities, and this matchup should allow Haliburton to convert potential assists to the stat sheet.

Indiana ranks fourth in field goals made (FGM) from the restricted area. The Raptors, meanwhile, allow opposing teams to shoot at the league's seventh-best clip from this area. The Pacers are also draining more corner three-pointers than any other team in the NBA, while the Raptors surrender the sixth-most corner threes per game.

The avenues to scoring success seem wide open for this Pacers team, so I want to be on Haliburton's side when it comes to assist production.

Bam Adebayo Over 22.5 Points (-115)

Three members of the Miami Heat's starting lineup -- Jimmy Butler (suspension), Tyler Herro (knee), Terry Rozier (knee) -- are out tonight, so look for this to be the Bam Adebayo game.

Adebayo is averaging 20.3 points this season, but we have to expect his shot volume to skyrocket in tonight's contest against the Sacramento Kings.

Butler, Herro, and Rozier are averaging a combined 44.2 field goal attempts (FGA) per game, good for 51.6% of all Miami shot attempts. While rotation players will step up, Adebayo, the lone All-Star on this team, should take on the lion's share of scoring duties.

We've yet to see a game in which Adebayo played without all three aforementioned Heat starters, as Rozier serves as a fairly recent Miami acquisition. However, he has played in a pair of games without both Herro and Butler, and the results were encouraging.

In these two contests, Adebayo went for 26 and 31 points. It's a very small sample to work with, but it's telling that Adebayo averaged 19.5 FGA in this split (he averages 15.1 FGA on the season).

The Kings should be a friendly matchup, too. They surrender the ninth-most points per game and tonight's contest will serve as the second leg of a back-to-back, which could lead to a worse-than-normal defensive bid.

Plus, Sacramento is allowing the 10th-most free-throw attempts and the 15th-most paint points per game, which is where Adebayo nets a combined 89.2% of his points.
