3 MLB Player Prop Bets to Target on Tuesday 9/5/23

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy baseball on FanDuel. Here, we're going to focus on the former.
Utilizing numberFire's projections as a guide, here are some MLB player props bets that look appealing.
Please note that betting lines and numberFire's game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published. Also, the weather may be an issue in some locations.
Christian Walker To Hit a Home Run (+400)
The Arizona Diamondbacks have a big 5.20 implied run total tonight due to a very favorable matchup.
The visiting Colorado Rockies will have Kyle Freeland on the bump tonight, a pitcher we should be excited to see. This season, Freeland allows a .386 wOBA, .558 SLG, 5.41 xFIP, .314 BABIP, 2.11 HR/9, 41.3% fly-ball rate, and 41.8% hard-contact rate versus right-handed hitters.
None of that is good news for Freeland, who faces a powerful Diamondbacks lineup. This leads us to Christian Walker, who is capital B Blasting lefty pitchers this year.
Walker is rocking a 157 wRC+, .404 wOBA, .353 ISO, 50.5% fly-ball rate, and 41.8% hard-contact rate versus southpaws. Borderline salivating at those numbers for Walker, so I'll look to add Walker To Record an RBI (+100), too.
Pete Alonso To Record an RBI (+100)
The Polar Bear is hot right now and we want to jump on a simple RBI prop tonight.
Pete Alonso and the New York Mets have a 4.84 implied run total tonight and could exceed that due to a soft matchup.
They are going up against Patrick Corbin, who struggles versus righty hitters this year with a .360 wOBA, .495 SLG, .324 BABIP, 1.72 HR/9, and 34.6% hard-contact rate.
With the power Alonso has, he will always be in a good spot against Corbin. To be specific, Alonso comes in with a 145 wRC+, .379 wOBA, .339 ISO, 43.5% fly-ball rate, and 30.0% HR/FB ratio versus left-handed pitchers.
It's all good news for Alonso, who is hot at the plate with a solid four-game hitting streak in the works.
Cody Bellinger To Record 2+ Total Bases (+105)
The Chicago Cubs are in an elite spot for some offense tonight.
The weather at Wrigley Field couldn't be better for hitters with the combination of hot temperatures, humidity, and some wind blowing out to left field. This is a big boost for hitters and we should see the ball flying tonight.
The Cubbies have a slate-high 5.60 implied run total against the San Francisco Giants, who are expected to use an opener and then have Sean Manaea as the bulk pitcher.
Regardless of who is on the mound, Cody Bellinger will be in an elite matchup. Even against lefty pitchers, Bellinger has been awesome this season with a 165 wRC+, .415 wOBA, .364 BABIP, .246 ISO, and 42.6% fly-ball rate.
With the awesome hitting conditions in front of him, Bellinger should have no issues grabbing two bases tonight.
