Tevin Coleman Fantasy Outlook Drops After Being Out-Touched by Raheem Mostert

Tevin Coleman was always going to be in a tough spot this week, as his San Francisco 49ers are taking on the Baltimore Ravens. He had served as the teams' clear-cut lead back this season though, and with Matt Breida out, Coleman looked to be in line for a lot of work in Week 13.

However, Coleman has been thoroughly outplayed by Raheem Mostert thus far.

Tevin Coleman Injury

Coleman's six opportunities (five carries, one target) do not seem to be the result of an injury. It looks as if 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is just opting to use Mostert over Coleman.

As of publishing this article, Mostert has turned 19 carries into 146 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Coleman has been held to five attempts for six yards.

Whether or not this signals a changing of the guard in the SF backfield remains to be seen, but at the very least, this does muddle things a bit. It's going to be hard to trust Coleman or Mostert on a weekly basis, especially once Breida returns.

San Francisco does run the ball enough to sustain multiple running backs' fantasy production (No. 2 in rush attempts entering Week 13), but it's going to be tough to know which RB to start going forward.
