Rams Get Bad News With Latest Andrew Whitworth Injury Update
By Larry Rupp

The Los Angeles Rams will have to be firing on all cylinders this weekend if they want any shot of taking down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional Round. Staying healthy is crucial, which makes offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth's latest injury update a bit concerning for Los Angeles.

Andrew Whitworth Injury Update
Whitworth did not practice for the second consecutive day on Thursday as he continues to deal with a knee injury suffered during the Wild Card Round. Of course, the veteran lineman doesn't have to practice at all to play on Sunday, but it isn't a good sign to see him on the sidelines right now.
It's possible that the Rams are limiting Whitworth's reps in order to keep him rested. That won't really be known until the final injury list is sent out on Sunday. If the 40-year-old NFL pro cannot suit up, backup Joseph Noteboom will be called upon to line up opposite Rob Havenstein at left tackle.
Head coach Sean McVay has praised Whitworth's efforts over and over again this season. The four-time Pro Bowler has excelled at blocking quarterback Matthew Stafford's blindside. In fact, Stafford was sacked just 31times in the regular season, which tied for the sixth lowest mark in the NFL.
For now, Whitworth remains day-to-day and is labeled as questionable to play. Keep an eye on any updates that are released regarding his status before kick off. The Rams head into a matchup against the Buccaneers as slight 3-point road underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
