Quandre Diggs Contract Update is Great News for Seahawks Ahead of Week 1

The Seattle Seahawks had been without two key pieces in Duane Brown and Quandre Diggs recently as they sought out new deals during training camp. Brown's hold-in resulted in a reworked contract, but Diggs didn't earn the same.
Despite this, it appears Diggs is ready to get back on the field.

Quandre Diggs Contract
Diggs returned to full practice on Monday, officially ending his hold-in. Head coach Pete Carroll has no doubts about seventh-year pro being ready for Week 1, which is great news.
The 28-year-old is coming off of a career year in 2020. He racked up 10 pass breakups and 5 interceptions en route to his first-ever Pro Bowl nod.
After that year, it's unsurprising that Diggs wanted to cash in. Teammate Jamal Adams just inked a four-year, $70 million extension that made him the highest-paid safety in the league. Diggs will certainly want to be among the top earners at the position when it's time for a new deal.
Regardless, it's encouraging that Diggs isn't holding his contract situation against the team and will be ready to go in Week 1. The Seahawks are 2.5-point road favorites over the Indianapolis Colts ahead of Sunday's game, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
