Malcolm Brown Fantasy Outlook Skyrockets Following Impressive Week 1 Showing
By Max Staley

The Los Angeles Rams looked like they had one of the most confusing backfields in the league this offseason. Fantasy managers were left scratching their heads trying to figure out how Sean McVay would divvy up the touches between Darrell Henderson, Cam Akers and Malcolm Brown.
However, things turned out to be remarkably simple in Week 1. This is clearly Brown's backfield for now, making him a really interesting asset for fantasy football purposes.

Malcolm Brown Fantasy Football Outlook
Malcolm Brown dominated the snaps out of the backfield, playing 60 percent of the Rams' snaps compared to 33 percent for Akers and 7 percent for Henderson. We should note that Henderson was dealing with a bum hamstring, which might've factored into McVay's decision here.
Regardless, Brown was clearly the most productive back on the team, turning 22 opportunities (targets plus carries) into 110 yards from scrimmage and 2 touchdowns. Akers recorded 43 yards from scrimmage on his 15 opportunities, meanwhile.
It's possible that Akers' role continues to grow as the season progresses. But for now, Brown is clearly the RB to roster in this backfield.
