Burning timeouts has been an issue for the New York Giants this season. Those problems were on full display during Monday night's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, when the team called two timeouts in the first five minutes of the second quarter and had just one for the rest of the half.

Head coach Joe Judge explained the cause behind the issues after the game.

Judge said headset malfunctions are the reason to blame, and it's a probelm that's been prevalent all year. The team even reached out to the league for help, though the issue has persisted.

Despite Judge's explanation, it's baffling to hear these mishaps have happened in every game since Week 1. The failure to rectify the situation doesn't help instill any confidence in Judge and his staff, who are on the hot seat.

New York lost a very winnable game in Week 8, making the timeout struggles even more frustrating. The Giants squandered a 17-14 lead in early in the fourth quarter and allowed Kansas City to hand them their sixth loss in 2021.

The now 2-6 Giants have a ton of issues to sort out heading into a Week 9 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.
