The AFC South is the youngest division in football, with two of the NFL franchises being founded within the past 25 years. That said, the division has still had its fair share of tremendous players.

With that in mind, here are the five greatest quarterbacks in AFC South history.

Note: This list includes players from franchises currently in the AFC South, though some played before the division was created in the 2002 realignment.

5. Mark Brunell, Jacksonville Jaguars (1995-2003)

Mark Brunell was the first starting quarterback in Jacksonville Jaguars history, after the team traded third and fifth round picks for him. Unfortunately for Jaguars fans, their first quarterback ever is also still their best. Brunell was voted to three Pro Bowls and was the NFL passing leader during his second season with the team. He is the all-time Jaguars leader in passing yards (25,698) and touchdowns (144).

4. Steve McNair, Houston/Tennessee Oilers/Titans (1995-2005)

Lasting through the team's city change and a name change, Steve McNair was able to have a lot of success despite all the change happening around him. McNair was voted to an All-Pro, three Pro Bowls, and he was named co-NFL MVP with fellow AFC South quarterback Peyton Manning in 2003. He ranks second in franchise history in passing yards (27,141) and passing touchdowns (156), while adding another 3,439 yards and 36 touchdowns on the ground. McNair also led the franchise to their only Super Bowl appearance in 1999.

3. Warren Moon, Houston Oilers (1984-1993)

Hall of Famer Warren Moon is the all-time leader in franchise passing yards (33,685) and touchdowns (196). Moon was also named to six Pro Bowls during his time in Houston, also winning the NFL MVP award in 1990, when he passed for 4,689 yards and 33 touchdowns. These numbers aren't too bad for a player that was undrafted out of college and needed a stint in the Canadian Football League before the NFL would give him a chance.

2. Johnny Unitas, Baltimore Colts (1956-72)

Not only is Johnny Unitas one of the best AFC South quarterbacks, he is among the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. The Hall of Fame quarterback is a three-time MVP, 10-time Pro Bowler and a Super Bowl champion. He ranks second all-time in Indianapolis Colts passing yards (39,768) and passing touchdowns (287), while adding another 1,778 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground.

1. Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts (1998-2010)

Manning is the all-time AFC South passing leader, with 54,828 yards and 399 touchdowns. There is also zero doubt that "The Sheriff" is the best quarterback in division history. During his time in Indianapolis, Manning won a Super Bowl and four MVPs, while being voted to eight All-Pro teams and 11 Pro Bowls. He is on the NFL' quarterback Mount Rushmore.
