Mario Barrios is set to take on the challenge of Gervonta Davis on June 26, 2021 for the WBA super lightweight championship of the world.

The fight will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia and be available to view via Showtime PPV. It will be contested over 12 rounds in the Super Lightweight division, which means the weight limit will be 140 pounds.

FanDuel Sportsbook has released the opening odds for this highly anticipated showdown.

Gervonta Davis has opened as a heavy -430 favorite, while Mario Barrios is a +300 underdog.

As a professional athlete, Davis has been performing for eight years and remains undefeated with an all-time record of 24-0-0 (23 KOs). The 26-year-old's 96% knockout percentage overpowers that of Barrios' 65% mark. Davis defeated Leo Santa Cruz in his last match on Oct. 20, 2020 by knockout in the sixth round.

Barrios has been a professional boxer for the last seven years and remains undefeated with an all-time record of 26-0-0 (17 KOs). The 26-year-old has a height advantage of 4 inches over Davis that extends into a 2-inch reach advantage. Barrios defeated Ryan Karl in his last match on Oct. 31, 2020 by knockout in the sixth round.
