With the WGC-Workday Championship quickly approaching on Thursday, we have already taken a look at the odds, but now we can examine some players to consider from various tiers from a DFS angle for your FanDuel lineup.
Bryson DeChambeau ($11,300):
While not many players have success to point to on this course, Bryson DeChambeau does. Back in 2015, DeChambeau won the 2015 NCAA Championship at The Concession. The small greens can call for precision ball-striking, something DeChambeau has been known for. He currently ranks No. 15 in SG: Approach The Green and No. 18 in SG: Around the Green. Not to mention No. 1 in SG: Tee-To-Green and No. 2 in SG: Total. DeChambeau had all the tools to win here before and his game is once again in a place for him to do it again.
Collin Morikawa ($10,100):
This course will require precision ball-striking with its small greens, and that is a strength of Collin Morikawa. He currently ranks No. 10 on tour in Greens in Regulation Percentage (GIR) at 73.02%. He is also No. 3 in SG: Approach The Green and No. 6 in SG: Tee-To-Green. Morikawa ranks in the Top-10 in Approach shot average distance to the pin from 225-250 yards, 125-150 yards and is actually No. 1 on tour from 175-200 yards. Additionally, he has finished T-7 in two of his last three starts.
Abraham Ancer ($8,100):
Abraham Ancer is the lower value play here, but he has been playing some solid golf this season. Despite going Cut, T-5, Cut in his last three starts, prior to that he had four straight top-17 finishes. Ranking No. 20 on tour in GIR and top-35 in approach shots from 50-125 and 200-225 yards, Ancer could be in a position to outperform his pricetag this week.
