Point guard Chris Paul has been in the NBA for the last 16 season and is so close to making his first NBA Finals appearance. In fact, the veteran scorer played a key role in the Phoenix Suns Game 4 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night,

As a result, his odds to win the 2021 NBA Finals MVP award have skyrocketed.

Chris Paul Finals MVP Odds

Paul was as low as sixth in the rankings when it came to NBA Finals odds heading into the Conference Championships. However, his odds have jumped from +750 all the way up to +380 right now. He only trails Milwaukee Buck Giannis Antetokounmpo (+125) and teammate Devin Booker (+230) in the odds.

Its' safe to say the Suns would not be in the position they are without Paul running the offense. The 36-year-old has posted at least 15 points and 7 assists in each of his last six games. Paul is constantly creating open shots for other players and hitting contested midrange jumpers.

Rounding out the top six in the odds are Trae Young (+1600), Deandre Ayton (+2600) and Khris Middleton (+2800). These odds are bound to keep changing, but Paul has a legitimate chance to take home the award if the Suns can get by the Clippers.

Phoenix is currently a 5.5-point favorite heading into Game 5 tomorrow night and have the best odds to win the NBA Finals at -110, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
