The Cleveland Browns are an interesting team to watch ahead of the 2022 NFL season. Years of futility forced the Browns to undergo some serious changes this offseason, hoping that new additions like Deshaun Watson and Amari Cooper will help bring on-field respect back to the franchise.

NBC Sports' Peter King still thinks that Cleveland has a lot of work to do before it's taken seriously. The Browns have been disrespected in King's 2022 NFL power rankings, coming in at No. 18.

Cleveland Browns Power Ranking

The disrespect doesn't stop there. The only AFC North team that the Browns are ahead of are the Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 23), while the Cincinnati Bengals (No. 7) and Baltimore Ravens (No. 8) rank inside of the top 10.

The Browns shouldn't have issues scoring the ball in 2022. Watson is an obvious upgrade over Baker Mayfield, while Cooper is on par or better than Jarvis Landry, and Nick Chubb continues to be an elite rusher out of the backfield. Add 2022 third-round pick and wideout David Bell into the mix and Cleveland's offense could be among the most dangerous.

Furthermore, the Browns' defense was in the upper half of the NFL last season (21.8 PPG, T-No. 13) and shouldn't have an issue getting there again. Jadeveon Clowney re-signed, Denzel Ward received a major extension and Myles Garrett is poised to be a Defensive Player of the Year candidate once again.

The Browns' main issue last season was health. If they can avoid any major injury issues in 2022, the team should finish with a much better record than they did last year (8-9).

The good news for Browns fans is that their team is getting much more respect in FanDuel Sportsbook's Super Bowl LVII odds. Cleveland is currently +2000 (T-No. 10) to go on a championship run next February.
