It seems like the Oakland Athletics can't be stopped down by anything right now. Amidst all of the rumors surrounding a potential move from Oakland, and injuries to key players like Ramon Laureano, this team sits in first place with a 42-27 overall record. Oakland is 8-2 in their last 10 ball games and has the league's third-best offense in the month of June (79 runs scored).

The news keeps getting better as the Athletics announced Wednesday that Laureano will be activated off the injured list after missing about three weeks with a hip strain.

Laureano is a key slugging piece in the middle of the A's lineup. He's slashing .257/.332/.503 this season and owns 11 home runs, 8 doubles and 22 RBIs in 48 games. His .503 slugging percentage is the best mark in his short four-year MLB career and Laureano will look to continue this slugging momentum as he returns from injury.

Currently, the Athletics own the second-best odds to win the AL West (+105), according to the latest MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. Those odds should continue to improve with the addition of Laureano and considering this team leads the division by 2.5 games on the Houston Astros.
