Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson is not expected to play in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Rams because of a hip injury. The team plans to see how he feels during pre-game warmups, but they're pessimistic about his availability after not practicing all week.
Seahawks have not made a final decision, and won't until pregame, but as of now, they are not expecting RB Chris Carson (hip) to play today vs. Rams, per source.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) November 11, 2018
The Seahawks have reinvented themselves as a run-first offense over the last few weeks, so look for them to lean heavily on Mike Davis in this matchup against the high-powered Rams. Not to mention, the California wildfires have certainly thrown the Rams' practice schedule off a bit this week, and they are coming off a stretch of four road games in five weeks.
Some clarity on one of the big injury question marks for the Seahawks. Carson missed all three practices this week with a sore hip. Mike Davis would presumably start in his place with Rashaad Penny mixing in. https://t.co/eXfQLKIiin— Brady Henderson (@BradyHenderson) November 11, 2018
Carson has been dealing with this hip injury all season, so it's definitely something worth thinking about going forward. If you have Davis as a handcuff option, you're already a step ahead of the curve.
