Playing in a division with the eventual Super Bowl champs and undergoing mid-season change at the quarterback position, the Denver Broncos' 7-9 finish in 2019 was a fairly encouraging one.

This is a team with some clear strengths on the defensive side of the ball, having finished 13th in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA metric, and if their young offense can grow around Drew Lock, they could find themselves in playoff contention in the near future.

With the NFL Draft being a crucial time to help grow this team into a contender, here are three players the Broncos should have a close eye on at the NFL Scouting Combine.

1. Solomon Kindley, G, Georgia

Offensive line is a big area of need in Denver, as they allowed the NFL's ninth highest sack rate (7.5 percent) in 2019. They were particularly weak at guard, and a huge guard like Solomon Kindley (6'4", 335 pounds) could give them some beef on the interior. He had the benefit of playing alongside top OL prospect Andrew Thomas at Georgia, so it will be crucial for Kindley's draft stock that he impresses when working on his own at the combine.

2. Gabriel Davis, WR, UCF

The Broncos' offense has some exciting young receiving weapons in Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant, and adding another wideout this year could help round out the group. Gabriel Davis impressed at UCF as a junior, catching 72 passes for 1,241 yards (17.2 per reception) and 12 touchdowns in 2019. A big-body threat at 6 foot 2 inches and 216 pounds, if Davis shows out well in speed and agility drills, he could land firmly on the Broncos' radar, especially since they have four picks on day two of the draft.

3. Antoine Winfield Jr., DB, Minnesota

You can never have too many talented defensive backs in today's NFL, and the Broncos aren't likely to completely neglect that area in the draft. Antoine Winfield Jr. could come in a little undersized, but he came up big in 2019, with 83 total tackles (58 solo) to go with 7 interceptions. If his measurables stack up well and he backs up that production with a good showing in drills, he could make for an interesting mid-round target to help bolster this secondary.
