WNBA Best Bets and Predictions Today

Indiana Fever vs. New York Liberty

Kelsey Mitchell 25+ Points (-144)

Kelsey Mitchell's recent scoring run is difficult to ignore. She enters Saturday having scored 20 or more points in 21 consecutive games, setting a new WNBA record. Mitchell nearly matched her career high on Thursday, scoring 37 points in Indiana's 91-85 loss to Dallas.

New York has also had trouble containing Indiana's guards. When these teams last met on August 11, Mitchell scored 28 points, including 20 in the first half, as Indiana won 106-92. The Liberty have allowed opponents to shoot 38.4% from three over their last 15 games, which is especially relevant for a scorer like Mitchell who can do much of her damage from outside.

Connecticut Sun vs. Los Angeles Sparks

Under 170.5 Total Points (-106)

Connecticut and Los Angeles have met twice this season, and neither game has reached Saturday's total. The Sun won 84-81 on May 30 before beating the Sparks 85-77 on Tuesday.

With those games finishing at 165 and 162 combined points, their head-to-head results support another game staying below 170.5.

Atlanta Dream vs. Phoenix Mercury

Atlanta Dream -5.5 (-110)

Atlanta is 2-0 against Phoenix this season, including a convincing 96-82 victory on August 5. The Dream led throughout that game and held Phoenix to 82 points.

That 14-point win provides a strong recent example of how Atlanta matches up with Phoenix. The Dream only need a six-point victory to get past Saturday's number.

WNBA Betting -- Frequently Asked Questions

What does the point spread mean in WNBA betting?

The point spread is a margin set by oddsmakers to level the playing field between two unevenly matched teams. For example, if the Dallas Wings are listed at -7.5, they need to win by 8 or more points for a bet on them to cash. Conversely, a bet on their opponent at +7.5 wins if that team loses by 7 or fewer points — or wins outright.

What is the moneyline?

The moneyline is a straight-up bet on which team wins the game, with no spread involved. Favorites carry a negative number (e.g., -200, meaning you must risk $200 to win $100), while underdogs carry a positive number (e.g., +170, meaning a $100 bet returns $170 profit).

How does the over/under (game total) work?

Oddsmakers set a projected combined score for the game, and bettors wager on whether the actual total will go over or under that number. For instance, if the total is set at 154.5 points, an over bet wins if both teams combine for 155 or more points. WNBA totals can swing based on pace of play, rest situations, and injuries, so it's worth tracking those factors before placing a total bet.

What are WNBA player props?

Player props are bets tied to an individual player's statistical performance rather than the game's outcome. Common prop bet markets include points scored, assists, rebounds, three-pointers made, and combinations of those stats.
