NHL Daily Fantasy Picks and Helper: Tuesday 11/28/23

NHL DFS is similar to MLB in terms of how you build lineups, how you view stacking, and how to value players.
Two main points to always focus on in NHL DFS are what lines the players are on and making sure the goalies you are rostering are confirmed as the starters.
Two of the best resources for that are LeftWingLock.com and DailyFaceOff.com. That is where you can find updated forward and power-play lines for each team, along with which goalies are confirmed as the starters.
Let's jump in and take a look at today's slate, find a goalie, some stacks, and some value plays for your NHL DFS lineups on FanDuel.
NHL DFS Picks
Goalie to Target
Tristan Jarry, Pittsburgh Penguins ($8,400)
With a 10-game slate to pick from, Tristan Jarry is the best option of all 20 netminders playing tonight.
Jarry has been sensational between the pipes thus far for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Despite a 7-8-0 record through 15 starts, Jarry has put together a 2.44 goals against average (GAA) and .918 save percentage. Both of these stats are in the upper echelon of the NHL, showing that he hasn't been the problem when it comes to those eight losses.
It gets all the more impressive with Jarry's 10.59 goals saved above expectation (GSAx) -- the third-best mark in the league in the first quarter of the season.
The Penguins goalie should be able to keep it up tonight when Pittsburgh faces off with the Nashville Predators.
The Predators have been a middle-of-the-road offense this year, averaging 3.34 Goals For per 60 minutes (10th-best) but only ranking 18th in Corsi For (Total Shot Attempts Created) per 60 minutes (59.59). These are numbers that don't scare you away from going with Jarry and make him a target against an inconsistent team.
Jarry is numberFire's top goalie for tonight, as their model projects him to finish with 22.3 FanDuel points.
Stacks
Vancouver Canucks
One of the league's best offenses is one worth backing tonight.
The Vancouver Canucks have shown their dominance offensively so far this season, putting up some out-of-this-world numbers with their trio of Quinn Hughes, J.T. Miller, and Elias Pettersson leading the way.
Vancouver leads the NHL in Goals For per 60 minutes at a 3.98 clip. They've scored the most goals of any team (88) and easily have the best goal differential (+32) through the season's first quarter. They also rank 14th with a 60.52 Corsi For, so they've been able to create a fine amount of opportunities, which they've clearly capitalized on better than any other team this year.
Tonight looks to be a great night for the Canucks when they face off with the Anaheim Ducks.
The Ducks have been a bad defensive team. They have a 63.51 Corsi Against (Total Shot Attempts Allowed) per 60 minutes, which is sixth-worst. Considering what the Canucks have been capable of this year, it makes for an exciting prospect tonight.
As noted prior, you'll want to get Miller ($9,300), Hughes ($9,000), and Pettersson ($8,800) into your lineups. Andrei Kuzmenko ($4,700) would be best to pair with Pettersson, as they share time together on the top line, and Kuzmenko is also on the top power play with all three.
Seattle Kraken
There's a lot of value in the Seattle Kraken on the slate.
Coming into the night against the Chicago Blackhawks, the Kraken have the second-best implied total at 3.68, per numberFire's heat map.
Seattle has had a tough start to the campaign, averaging only 2.7 Goals For per 60 minutes. The good news is that the trend has started to go up for the Kraken, as they've scored three or more goals in five of their last six games. Their 59.47 Corsi For ranks 19th, meaning that they can create opportunities but haven't been among the elite.
The best news for them tonight is that the Blackhawks have been so poor defensively that it should allow the Kraken to create enough noise in the offensive zone. The Blackhawks are ranked 5th on the circuit with a 63.75 Corsi Against per 60 minutes while also allowing the 4th-most Goals Against per 60 (3.66).
Petr Mrazek will be in net for Chicago tonight. While he's been better than expected so far this season (.904 save percentage), he's allowed three or more goals in four straight starts, including five in his last appearance.
The Kraken's top line of Jared McCann ($5,700), Jordan Eberle ($4,700), and Matty Beniers ($4,600) are your best bet to stack the lineup. All three play top minutes for the Kraken while McCann and Eberle are paired on the second power-play unit for Seattle.
Value Skaters
Jonathan Marchessault, W, Vegas Golden Knights ($6,100)
Jonathan Marchessault is one of the key contributors for the Vegas Golden Knights and is the top value of the 10-game slate.
Through 22 games this season, Marchessault has 9 goals, 5 assists, and 14 points. He's averaging 17:32 time on ice while taking up the right side on the second line and top power-play unit for the Golden Knights. A lot of his value comes in his ability to get shots on goal, averaging 3.0 shots per game with 66 total.
Taking on the Edmonton Oilers, there will be plenty of scoring opportunities, as they're allowing 3.68 Goals Against, the third-most per 60 minutes.
numberFire's model has Marchessault projected for 15.7 FanDuel points, so it's a good time to fire him up.
Nico Hischier, C, New Jersey Devils ($4,700)
After one game back, Nico Hischier seems to be finding his form.
Prior to his upper-body injury, Hischier had recorded only two points in the first seven games of his season. In his return to the New Jersey Devils lineup on Saturday, their captain scored a goal and an assist to get back on track.
Hischier slotted right back into the lineup as the second-line center and left winger on the Devils' first power play. He's averaging just 16:35 time on ice so far, but he should begin to ramp up with his health back on track.
numberFire believes in Hischier having a good night, projecting him for 13.9 FanDuel points in his second game back.
