Royals' Adam Frazier sitting versus lefty Thursday

Frazier will take a seat as the rest of the Royals take on Angels left-hander Reid Detmers. Michael Massey will cover second base and Nelson Velazquez will join the lineup at designated hitter, batting fifth. Frazier has struggled when called upon this season, posting a .169 batting averaged through 90 plate appearances.
