PETER RISE (7) is back after a break of ten months. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing third at his latest appearance over 5 ¾f at Fukushima Dirt. Good effort to open last prep when in the money at Tokyo Dirt over 6 ½f. Can make a winning return. THE BIG MAN (4) did a good job last start to finish third at this track and trip, beaten 0.9 lengths. Hard to beat. TONE MUSUME (12) is back at the races for the first time since November 6. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 6f at Monbetsu. Lines up today for the first time for trainer Maki Hirayama. Looks a top-three prospect. PURE JASMINE (10) is building towards a win with placings at her last two runs, the latest effort a second at this track and trip when beaten 2 lengths. Has a solid record here. Not to be discounted.
