Fantasy Football: 3 Quarterback Streamer Options for Week 12

Streaming quarterbacks remains an integral part of fantasy football for those who were willing to wait on the position in favor of loading up their lineups in drafts.

It's not always the preferred option as putting top-shelf guys in your lineup and forgetting it is always nice, but you can get some great value on the waiver wire each week to start at the position, keeping you competitive on a week-to-week basis.

Whether it's 10-team or 12-team leagues, there's going to be options out there to choose from.

When it comes to streaming a quarterback, there are multiple factors in play with none being more important than the defense they're opposing. From there, you can look at the situation they're in, what they've been doing as of late, and more. All of this matters -- especially when you're trying to find points at the most important position in football.

More quarterback injuries are leaving everyone scrambling for answers at the position. Here are the best quarterback streamers for Week 12 to help your lineups.

Week 12 Quarterback Streamers

Derek Carr or Jameis Winston, New Orleans Saints

Week 12 Opponent: Atlanta Falcons

No matter who starts for the New Orleans Saints this week, they're going to be worth starting against the Atlanta Falcons.

Derek Carr remains in concussion protocol for the Saints as of this writing, meaning that Jameis Winston has a real shot to get into the lineup this weekend. Whether either option is the case, let's dive deeper.

Before being forced out of the game in Week 10, Carr had put together an impressive stretch of play that made him a good weekly streamer. The Saints starter had finished with 15-plus fantasy points in five straight weeks and finally showed chemistry between him and the rest of the Saints offense -- even if it wasn't perfect. With him out of the Week 10 game against the Minnesota Vikings, Winston came into action and was able to finish with 10.9 fantasy points. As we know with Winston, it's never usually pretty with him at the helm, but putting up big yards and fantasy numbers was a theme back when he was a starter in Tampa Bay.

While the Falcons enjoy their own quarterback carousel, the one thing that we do know is that they aren't all too good at stopping the position. Quarterbacks are averaging 18.9 fantasy points against the Falcons -- good for the fifth-most in the NFL.

Kyler Murray walked right back in and scored 18.3 fantasy points against them in their last game, and before that, Joshua Dobbs dropped 24.9 fantasy points off the bench after just joining the Minnesota Vikings. The Falcons are falling apart as they ride a three-game losing streak, making this the perfect time to fire up pretty much any quarterback against them.

As the week goes on, we'll know who will be taking the reps come Sunday. Either way, they're the top streamer option for Week 12 given what is currently out there.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Cleveland Browns

Week 12 Opponent: Denver Broncos

If there's a matchup for Dorian Thompson-Robinson to exploit, it will be against the Denver Broncos.

Thompson-Robinson hasn't had it easy in his first two starts of his career. He's totaled just 4.2 and 7.6 fantasy points in the two games he kicked off the game. That being said, he had a drive to build on in Week 11 after leading the Cleveland Browns down the field to get a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With the Broncos on tap next, it should be smoother sailing for the rookie quarterback as he gets more comfortable in the offense.

Denver has been beaten up all year long despite their recent winning streak. Over the last few weeks, they've been able to bring down their average points against from quarterbacks to 17.7 per game, ranking as the 10th most in the NFL this season. Josh Dobbs finished with 17.9 fantasy points against them in Week 11, using his legs to cause problems against them. Thompson-Robinson showcased his rushing prowess a little bit on Sunday, running 3 times for 20 yards. If he can get more comfortable in the pocket, it should lead to better decisions overall -- and more running when the chances arise.

It may be a risk to roll Thompson-Robinson out there but in deeper leagues, it's the way we have to roll. If you're trying to replace Joe Burrow, DTR is worth a look in his softest matchup yet.

Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals

Week 12 Opponent: Pittsburgh Steelers

The best way to replace Joe Burrow, though? Go grab his replacement.

Jake Browning will be the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback from here on out with Burrow now out for the remainder of the season with his wrist injury. The bad news is that it's going to be a likely downgrade to all Bengals skill players in fantasy. However, if you're in need of a quarterback, Browning showed he could be the immediate answer.

Against a Baltimore Ravens team that allows just 11.6 fantasy points per game to the position, Browning came out in the second half and, well, looked the part. He went 8-of-14 for 68 passing yards and a touchdown. He also added 40 yards rushing, which may have come as a surprise to some. The Bengals new signal-caller ultimately finished with 10.7 fantasy points.

If he's able to do that over two halves, who are we to argue with that output? After all, he's going to have Ja'Marr Chase, Joe Mixon, Tyler Boyd, and eventually Tee Higgins at his disposal. It could be a lot worse.

The Pittsburgh Steelers can be tough against opposing passers, limiting them to 256.0 passing yards and 1.1 touchdowns a game, good for just 13.9 fantasy points on average. The benefit is that the Bengals will be at home in the matchup, taking out the difficult factor of Acrisure Stadium and the rowdy Steelers fans.

Picking up Browning this week isn't just to stream on Sunday but likely have a borderline top-15 option for the rest of the season. Seeing how things have gone injury-wise all year long, you can never be too safe by getting him on your roster -- even if you already have a quarterback, as well.

Browning may be the top streamer for the next few weeks depending on how he performs.
