Though Ecuador has lost two of their last four, those losses were to Italy (2-0) and Argentina (1-0). The Tricolors are 4W-2L-0D in their last six and are favored to beat Venezuela to start Group B play.

Venezuela is winless over their last five (0W-2L-3D), losing 2-1 to Italy and drawing with Guatemala in a scoreless match most recently.
