4 FanDuel Stacks to Target in Week 15

Stacking in daily fantasy football on FanDuel is a key strategy and a way to shoot for upside. There are a few different ways to correlate lineups that can help us maximize our ceiling.

The classic stack is a quarterback with one of his pass-catchers. Sometimes, it makes sense to use two pass catchers with their signal-caller, especially when the target share is concentrated around two players.

In other situations, we can pair a running back and a defense on the same team. This makes sense when a team is a huge favorite and expected to dominate, which can lead to carries for the back and chances for sacks and turnovers for the D/ST. We also can look to deploy a game stack -- rostering a QB, one of his pass-catchers, and a pass-catcher from the other team. Game stacks can work best in matchups that have high totals and close spreads.

Our Brandon Gdula did a study on stacking that is worth checking out before you make your lineups.

Here are four of the best stacks to zero in on in NFL DFS for this week's main slate.

Los Angeles Rams

Matthew Stafford ($7,200), Cooper Kupp ($8,200), and Puka Nacua ($8,000)

Things were looking bad for the Los Angeles Rams in the middle part of the season. They got back on track with three wins in a row before a tough overtime loss against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14.

They still were successful for fantasy last Sunday. Matthew Stafford had only one game with multiple touchdown passes in his first nine games. In his last three, he has at least three TDs in all of them.

It had been a while since Cooper Kupp had a big game. He ended that as he went for eight catches, 115 yards, and a touchdown against Baltimore. It was his second consecutive game with a touchdown.

Puka Nacua had a slow game, but those have been few and far between. He's seen at least seven targets in every game this season. Even since Kupp returned from injury, Nacua has a 27% target share, via PFF.

The matchup literally couldn't get better for the Rams. They will face the Washington Commanders, who rank dead last in numberFire's pass-defense metric. They are also dead last in adjusted fantasy points allowed per drop back and last in WR adjusted fantasy points allowed per target.

With the Rams having an implied team total of 28 points, this stack has huge upside against the worst pass defense in the NFL.

Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott ($8,600) and CeeDee Lamb ($9,200)

The Dallas Cowboys have a case as the best team in the NFL. Our power rankings have them just behind the San Francisco 49ers for the top spot.

A big part of the Cowboys' recent success has been Dak Prescott. They've really let him air it out, as they are sixth in pass rate over expectation in the NFL. Dak has delivered, too, ranking third in fantasy points per game for QBs.

The main beneficiary of Dallas' pass-heavy attack has been CeeDee Lamb. Lamb has seen a 33% target share since the Cowboys' Week 7 bye and hasn't seen less than a 24% share in any individual game.

The Cowboys are facing the Buffalo Bills in a game that's tied for the highest total on this week's main slate. The Bills' defense has been vulnerable against receivers, allowing the eighth-most adjusted fantasy points per target to the position.

The Bills' defense hasn't been the same with all the injuries they've suffered this season. That's why even on the road, this Cowboys' stack is one we should consider in lineups.

Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love ($8,000), Romeo Doubs ($6,400), and Jayden Reed ($6,100)

This Green Bay Packers' stack is off the board a bit, but it's a stack that makes sense when you dig into it.

Opinions on Jordan Love have been divided all season long. He's definitely had stretches where he's played well, leading to him being the QB9 overall in fantasy.

He's lost arguably his top weapon in Christian Watson, leading to opportunities for others. Second-year receiver Romeo Doubs is utilized a ton in the scoring areas. He's seen 29% of the team's end zone targets this season, resulting in seven touchdowns.

Rookie receiver Jayden Reed has gotten a lot of the targets that Watson has left behind when out. Reed saw 20% of the targets when Watson missed the first three games, and 27% when he missed Monday's game.

There are a few reasons why we can expect to be pass-happy in this game. A.J. Dillon missed practice on Thursday and Aaron Jones was limited. That could leave them down to their third-string back Patrick Taylor, and the team already ranked 21st in rushing offense efficiency, per numberFire.

The matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is perfect for passing games. They are the 5th-best defense against the run but 29th against the pass, according to numberFire. They just allowed Desmond Ridder to throw for 347 yards against them last week.

Love has a fairly high salary, but both of his top two receivers make for nice values that should allow us to use salary at other spots.

San Francisco 49ers

Brock Purdy ($8,400), Deebo Samuel ($8,400), and Brandon Aiyuk ($7,800)

The San Francisco 49ers were a conundrum that many fantasy players would choose to avoid besides playing Christian McCaffrey. The options in the passing game have become too good to ignore, though.

Brock Purdy has definitely proven that he can facilitate an offense and be more than useful for fantasy. He's fantasy's QB5, thanks largely to his play after the bye week. He has exceeded 22 fantasy points in four of his last five games.

Who he's really connected with is Deebo Samuel, who has back-to-back games with over 30 half-PPR points. He doesn't always correlate the best with Purdy because he scores rushing touchdowns -- he's almost like a pass-catching running back. However, if the offense continues to just roll, both players should be good in fantasy.

The leading receiver from a target share perspective is Brandon Aiyuk. Even while last week's game wasn't always close, Aiyuk still saw his second-most targets (9) and second-most receiving yards (126) in a game this season. That means that he can still get there in a blowout, which this game could turn into.

The 49ers will play the Arizona Cardinals as 12.5-point road favorites. Arizona's pass defense ranks second to last in numberFire's metrics. They also allow the second-most adjusted fantasy points per drop back to quarterbacks and the fourth-most adjusted fantasy points per target to receivers.

With the Niners having a 30-point implied team total, we'll want a piece of them in lineups this week. This stack could be the way to get your exposure to them.
