4 FanDuel NFL Values to Target in Week 17

Finding value is a key part of daily fantasy football on FanDuel. We need to identify the low-salary players who have the potential to pay huge dividends, which allows you to play studs elsewhere in your lineup.
As always, we're looking at players on the main slate, which kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. All betting odds come from the NFL odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.
NFL DFS Value Plays
Baker Mayfield, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
FanDuel Salary: ($7,200)
Many people wrote off Baker Mayfield after last season's stint with the Carolina Panthers. It wasn't unfair, as he didn't play well and ended up getting cut towards the end of the season.
Mayfield has revived his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has been fantasy-relevant, as well. Overall, he's the QB11 on the season. He doesn't have to do too much with some of the weapons he has available to him, and he's making the most of that.
Baker and Mike Evans have connected for 13 touchdowns this season. Mayfield has also gotten Chris Godwin going in the last few games, as he's now seen double-digit targets in three straight.
The Bucs have a key matchup against the New Orleans Saints that could decide the NFC South. The Saints' defense doesn't rank too poorly this season, but they did just get torched last week against the Los Angeles Rams. Mayfield threw for three touchdowns in the Week 4 meeting between these two teams, too.
For just $7,200, Mayfield stands out as one of the better values at QB if you need to save at the position.
Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington Commanders
FanDuel Salary: ($5,900)
Antonio Gibson once had a lot of hope behind him in the fantasy community. That evaporated when Brian Robinson came into the picture last season.
But with Robinson limited in practice and Chris Rodriguez Jr. placed on IR, Gibson has a chance to be the only trusted back for the Washington Commanders.
Gibson was a wide receiver in college, so he definitely has some passing game chops. He's seen a target on 17% of the routes he's run this season. If he's running more routes because of a lack of competition for snaps, he should see more raw catches.
The matchup is a scary one at first glance against the San Francisco 49ers, but it looks better if you dig a little deeper. The Niners are 18th in numberFire's schedule-adjusted run defense metric. They are also 25th in adjusted fantasy points per carry allowed to backs.
The Commanders' switch at QB from Sam Howell to Jacoby Brissett may benefit Gibson, as well. Howell took sacks on 9.7% of his drop backs this season, while Brissett has yet to take one and is at a 7.5% sack rate for his career. If Brissett isn't taking sacks like Howell, he could be looking to check down to Gibson instead.
At just $5,900, Gibson certainly should be in consideration in all contest formats.
Zay Flowers, WR, Baltimore Ravens
FanDuel Salary: ($6,300)
It's been quite the rookie year for Zay Flowers. He's become the number one target for the Baltimore Ravens, especially since Mark Andrews went down with an injury.
Since the first game without Andrews in Week 12, Flowers has seen a target share of 24%. He's also seen 50% of the team's end zone targets.
This is a huge game for the Ravens against the Miami Dolphins. It could potentially decide who gets the top seed in the AFC. Miami has been playing well on defense but could be exploitable in one area.
While the Dolphins rank fifth in numberFire's pass-defense metric, they're 19th in adjusted fantasy points per target allowed to receivers. Last week, CeeDee Lamb cooked their defense for six catches, 118 yards, and a touchdown on 10 targets.
Lamb runs a majority of his routes from the slot, which allowed him to avoid Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard at cornerbacks on the outside. Flowers also plays in the slot more often than not -- 54.1% of his routes come from there.
This salary clearly was released before Flowers exploded on Monday and had nine catches for 72 yards and a score on 13 targets against a tough 49ers defense. He can win in tough matchups, especially if he gets that kind of volume.
Gerald Everett, TE, Los Angeles Chargers
FanDuel Salary: ($5,200)
It's certainly not easy to click on a Los Angeles Chargers player at this point of the season. If you were going to use one, though, Gerald Everett is probably your guy.
Everett had a season-high seven catches last week on eight targets. With Keenan Allen and Josh Palmer both missing practice this week, Everett could be peppered with targets again this week.
Replacement QB Easton Stick hasn't actually played too poorly and has a chance to play well in this spot. He'll face a Denver Broncos defense that is 24th against the pass, according to numberFire.
Specifically against tight ends, Denver really struggles. They allow the most adjusted fantasy points per target to the position, as well as the most fantasy points per game.
For just $5,200, Everett is a good option at fantasy's thinnest position.
